Personal Assistant - 9 Month Maternity Cover

Have you got PA experience? Do you enjoy working individually but also as part of a team? Have you got a good eye for detail and can turn your hand to anything? If so then this role may be for you!

We are currently recruiting for a Personal Assistant to work for well-known law firm who have been around since 1796! This is for a 9 month maternity contract and they are looking to interview immediately.

You will be assisting fee earners on a daily basis and be given a wide variety of different jobs to complete in the Bournemouth office.

Role Duties:

-To be aware of the fee earners priorities and ensure they are completed as far as possible. Maintaine files, keeping everything up to date in accordance with the firm's policies.

-Provide a full range of secretarial support to the team.

-Undertake all typing duties for fee earners.

-Take telephone calls for fee earners, dealing with the client queries and building relationships where possible. Referring calls to the right area in accordance with the company policy.

-Keep Reception informed of all visitors. Book meeting rooms, refreshments, collect clients from Reception and book travel & accommodation when required.

-Check fee earner voicemails and inbox when needed. Ensuring their diary is up to date.

-Undertake and monitor Lexcel compliance as directed by the relevant staff members.

-Monitor the fee earners clients and report when the file is ready for archiving and storage or the action required to be taken in respect of it.

-Ensure through liaison with the fee earner, team leader and credit control that the necessary billing guides are presented at the correct times. Ensure all bills are typed correctly before submitting the Accounts department within 24 hours of their return.

-Monitor all deeds and original documents that are received and ensure correct routines are followed.

-Provide support for the fee earners with their marketing activity.

The Ideal Candidate:

-Good standard of general education (Maths and English) with strong knowledge of computer packages including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and legal software.

-Knowledge of audio & copy typing. Good general keyboard skills.

-Previous legal experience is desirable.

-Professional and credible, with the ability to act with tact and maintain confidentiality.

-Excellent time management and customer service skills. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team,

-A good problem solver.

The hours for this role are Monday – Friday 9am – 5:30pm and the salary is £21,250 pa.
