International English - University of Chichester Business School

We seek to appoint an Associate Lecturer in International English. Working as part of an established team within our Business School, you will contribute to the delivery of the University’s Level 6 ‘International Route Top-up’ Programmes for international students. Specifically, the post holder is required to deliver a 45-credit Research Portfolio Module. The Module introduces independent research and critical thinking skills to students from Asia (mainly Chinese) in the language competence range IELTS 6.0 – 6.5. Full teaching materials are available. The post-holder should be able to deliver in online, face-to-face and blended delivery modes.

Candidates should be qualified to at least degree level, hold either TESOL Diploma or relevant M level qualifications and have relevant teaching experience in the area above. Experience of delivery to Chinese learners, use of a VLE, experience of online delivery and teaching/assessing at UK undergraduate level will be an advantage. You should be available to take up the post from May 2021.

It may be possible, at a later date, to combine this post with additional work on the University’s Presessional Programme for international students.
