We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic dynamic Part Time Payroll Officer to work within the Finance Team here at NCW. The purpose of the role will be to upload the monthly payroll, liaise with the Payroll Bureau and carry out the associated payroll administration for the College. To be the administrator for both the Teachers Pension Scheme (TPS) and Support Staff Pension Scheme (TPT). To assist the Finance Manager when required working collaboratively within the Finance Department.

Your day to day duties will include:

• Process the monthly payroll for the College uploading information via the payroll bureau’s portal to a given timetable, and liaising with Dataplan, the payroll bureau.
• Incorporating such things as Overtime, Salary changes, Backpay, Adjustments, Deductions for Salary Sacrifice, Rents and Cycle to Work Scheme, Annual Increments, Annual Cost of Living rises, Holidays, Maternity Leave and Sick Pay into the payroll as appropriate, liaising closely with the College HR Team.
• Administrator for the Teachers Pension Scheme and liaising with the TPS office. Process monthly submissions and resolve any queries escalated including retirement applications.
• Liaise with new starters and leavers with regards to accessing payslips, pension contributions and P45’s.

In order to be successful in this role you will need:

• Previous Payroll experience
• Previous Pension experience desirable
• Experience working in a busy Finance Office environment
• Experience of working with HR departments
• Excellent team working and interpersonal skills
• Excellent IT skills with Advanced Excel skills essential
