Bar Assistant – The Kennels

Fixed‑term contract – maternity cover (up to 12 months)

We are seeking a friendly and professional Bar Assistant to join The Kennels Bar team at Goodwood on a fixed‑term basis, covering maternity leave for up to 12 months. Reporting to the Bar Manager, you’ll help create a welcoming environment where members and guests feel relaxed, valued and keen to return.

The role

You’ll deliver warm, attentive service, building rapport through great conversation and a genuine interest in our members and guests. Confident behind the bar, you’ll offer knowledgeable recommendations, promote our food and drink offering, and maintain excellent standards throughout service. You’ll also support the smooth running of the bar through strong attention to cleanliness, health and safety, and clear handovers.

• The ability to work proactively in a fast‑paced environment
• Clear communication and a responsible approach
• Previous bar or hospitality experience
• Cocktail‑making experience would be an advantage
