Our client is a major defence contractor based in Bristol who is looking for a Functional Engineering Manager on a permanent basis.

You will require the following Skills & Experience:-

• Degree qualified and chartered.
• Senior level multi discipline team leadership and engineering management experience across most phases of the CADMID lifecycle.
• Preferably previous experience of working in a defence related tier 1 and tier 2 type organisation.
• Project management qualification and experience preferred.

Your Roles & Responsibilities will include:-

• Coordinate engineering resources (utilisation and deployment planning, guidance on development, competency assessment and recruitment)
• Coordinate common use of tools and engineering processes across the business unit.
• Own transversal resources (e.g safety, requirements, security etc) to deploy across the business supporting projects and proposals.
• Support business development activity across IMS for bids and campaigns.
• Provide specialist subject matter expertise and experienced support for particular prospects/projects.
• Based on Systems Engineering approach, promote the use of best practice tools, process and resources across wider business and stakeholder communities.
